Rice Cereal!

Henry has finally delved into the world of solids and rice cereal was the first thing on the menu! I'm not sure that he really liked eating it, but he seemed to like the act of eating itself. He actually seemed to find it really fun and kept giggling the whole time.


My favorite part was how he would stick his toes straight out in front of him in excitement everytime we brought another spoonful to his mouth.

New Cousin Aiden!

Hahn's big brother Darrow and his wife Tera welcomed their 2nd child into the world.

Here's the three little cousins. We affectionately call them the HAM (Henry, Aiden and Mason). Aiden is a regular bruiser and I'm sure that he will pass up Henry in size in no time. I can't wait to see these boys grow up together!

Grant's Birthday!

On July 3rd my "little" brother turned 25 and to celebrate in a grown up fashion, he decided to throw a Super Hero Costume Party! My mom and dad watched Henry so that Hahn and I could go to the party. I went as American Maid (from The Tick) and Hahn went as Mario. You can see Grant in the middle as Ghostbuster, Ray Stanz.

A good time was had by all! :D

Grandpa visits and 5 months old!

The last week of June, Hahn's dad drove out from Lake Tahoe to visit and meet Henry for the first time. It was pretty cool having three generations of Henry Dewey Ainsworths all under one roof! Hahn was still on summer break, so they had a lot of time to hang out and catch up. It was great having him here!

His last morning here, also happened to fall on July 1st, Henry's 5 month old birthday.

Henry's new favorite things:
- He's gotten even better at sitting up and can balance a good 10 sec on his own (before he tries to reach for a toy and is forced off-balance by the weight of his head.)
- Found out he can just as easily suck on his toes as his fingers. I took off his soggy socks one day, only to find out that his toes were all pruney and wrinkled underneath!
- His new favorite toys are plastic chain links and has an affinity for the white one with black polka dots. (Here he is enjoying them with Jack)

Happy Father's Day!

Ta-da!

Henry has managed to surprise us, with a little help on placement of his hands, he's gotten pretty darn good at rolling himself over.

I just know he'll be flipping over all on his own in no time - which means tummy time just got a whole lot harder!

Henry's first vacation!

On my birthday weekend, Sam, Ed and Jack joined Hahn, Henry and I on a trip to the mountains. We stayed in Frisco, but spent most of our time in Breckenridge.

Friday we took the boys swimming for the first time! Neither one of them seemed to think there was anything special about it, but still seemed to have a good time. But I Hahn and Ed definitely had more fun than the kiddos!




Saturday, Hahn and Ed went off to do rocket stuff for the day, so Sam and I took the boys to walk around downtown Breckenridge. The kids were wonderful and we had fun shopping in the beautiful weather that we lucked into!


The crepes were deemed 'Sam's bad idea of the weekend' after we spent too much money and WAY too much time waiting for our spur of the moment snack!


Out on the porch at the place we were staying! It was such nice weather!
