Starting to feel like spring!

The first weekend in March started out warm and sunny! Gearing up for Springtime we bought Henry a new wagon and decided it was the perfect day to break it in! We picked up Sam and Jack and headed out through the neighborhood paths.

The two boys had a great time watching Stoli and the other dogs, and of course, throwing their toys out of the wagon as we went!

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY HENRY!

On February 1st, Henry celebrated his FIRST birthday which also happens to be his Golden birthday! In honor of his nickname 'King Henry', I decided to have a royal theme.

I found this adorable plush crown for my little king and we also had paper crowns for the guests to decorate. We had a great turn out and the house was complete chaos, but the babies all seemed to have a great time playing together.

We had to move fast through the gifts to keep Henry occupied. He sort of figured out the whole 'unwrapping' thing, but was definitely entertained by the things inside!

Natasha made the cake and it was both delicious and beautiful! She even made a special '1' shaped personal cake for Henry to smash. And boy did he!

We got one nice posed picture with his crown, pre-mess. Marion & Seth (who's 2nd had just had her fist birthday party the day before), provided us with the wise advise to strip Henry down. It was definitely a good idea!

We gave Henry a quick rinse-off bath after cake, but he was still stained blue and smelled of sugar for the rest of the night!

My Little Rockstar

Uncle Grant wants to help build a love of music at an early age for Henry and got him a toy guitar for Christmas. It has proven to be a new favorite. I think we have a little rockstar in the making!!

Amber and Jason visit

 

Amber and Jason were in town visiting her family for Christmas, and they made the time to swing by and see Henry. As Amber put it, she really only wanted to see him ;)

 

It was so good to see them and catch up!

Henry's First Christmas!

Henry's first Christmas was full of family and fun! He had been crawling for about 2 months, so we were worried how he would do with the Christmas tree. He was very careful around it and listened to our warnings of "gentle".

As per our traditions, we went to Nanoo's house for Christmas Eve and had take out Chinese for dinner. Afterward we traveled back to Mom and Dad's to open our family gifts. We attempted to put Henry down for bed, but I think he was just as excited as the rest of us to stay up and open gifts!

 

Henry stayed up WAY past his bedtime!

Christmas morning we brought Henry downstairs to open his gift from Santa- a Dino-Roll and Roar toy! He was very excited about it!

First Thanksgiving!

Henry's first Thanksgiving was at Grandma Ann's house. Tera's family was also in town, so we had a big group! It's always great to join the family for good food and good company!

Henry and Aidan chillin' with Grandma, the two boys are getting so big! We can't wait until next year when we'll have almost 1.5 year old Aidan, almost 2 year old Henry and 4 year old Mason all running around!



Since Henry is still not interested in table food (anything too solid makes him gag) we brought along some turkey babyfood for Henry to try for his Thanksgiving meal. It was his first time tasting any kind of meat, and as you can see in this video, he was less than thrilled about it!

Nine Months Old!

November 1st - Henry turned 9 months old! He also had his first well-baby check-up since month 6. He weighed in at 15lbs 10oz and 27 inches!



Henry loves bath time!

• Henry is officially a crawler, now that he has figured it out there is no stopping him! He already tumbled down three steps, as Hahn put it, "I didn't know he could crawl so FAST!". We got our baby gate put up to block off the stairs and Stoli's dog food. Our life has changed yet again!
