My office always goes all out for Halloween. Even though we had to post-pone our celebration till the week after due to blizzards, this year was no exception! The theme this year was TV shows and each pod picked something from this category to dress up as and decorate their area.
My pod, the HP Design pod - Batman (the old, campy Adam West version)Robin, Batgirl, The Riddler, Batman and Catwoman

I made this Batcomputer and was rather proud of how it turned out. :)
The Writer's Pod - Cheers
The AM pod - Grey's Anatomy
The Romper Room - Mad Men

Henry's First Halloween!
Henry's first Halloween was a lot of fun. We had two costumes that were given to us, so Henry got the chance to be both a Lion King and a Snugglesaurus!

On Halloween day, we met up with the Wranosky's and went to a local church that was having a festival. Of course, the boys were too young to really enjoy it, but it was fun to get all dressed up and fun to see the other kids!Jack and Henry: Jungle friends.

Pumpkin Carving Party 2009!
Sunday, October 25, 2009

We had our annual pumpkin carving party the week before Halloween- and as always it was a big hit! It is crazy how over the years, it has become a family event, so many of us now have kids. It was fun to see Noah, Jack and Henry all side by side, since us moms had all been pregnant together last Halloween!
Hahn and I decided against growing pumpkins in the garden this year, however a few apparently seeded themselves and this giant one was one of the results! Here's Henry displaying the pumpkin before and after carving.

Eight Months old!
Thursday, October 1, 2009

Henry turned 8 months old on October 1st! New things this month include:
- He has been showing off his new bouncy head bobbing move!
- He loves to turn his toys over and play with the bottoms of them. Especially his little piano, for whatever reason, he seems more interested in the bottom of it! :)
- He has started reaching for things and scooting around on his bottom. He'll slowly move across a room an inch at a time, he'll be crawling soon!

Weekend in Breckenridge
Sunday, September 13, 2009
Sam, Ed and I took the boys up to Breckenridge for a rocket weekend in September. Unfortunately Hahn couldn't make it because he had a class to take for his teaching license and a ton of homework to grade. So Ed went on to do rocket stuff during the days while Sam and I took the boys exploring.

The kiddos sound asleep after a long day of adventuring!
Henry showing off his skiing skills in this fun cutout we found.
We started to get rain one afternoon and camped out in the car for a little while so Sam could feed Jack. Henry had a blast playing in the back!

Ainsworth/Clark Family Reunion
Monday, September 7, 2009
We had a mini reunion when Hahn's brother Skip came out to visit. So we took the opportunity to get some family pictures. You'll notice Henry is rather excited in this pic - he's just grabbed a handful of grandma's hair! :)
The Clark family - little Aidan is getting so BIG!
Skip and Darrow's half-sister Kristen and their step-mom Kay also made it out for the visit.
It still seems a little unbelievable to see photos and realize- This is OUR family! We're no longer a couple, we're a three!

7 Months Old!
Tuesday, September 1, 2009

September 1st marks Henry's 7 month birthday! These days it seems like he is learning something new everyday. Here are some of the big events for this month:
- Henry got his first tooth on August 9th, (bottom middle) and exactly a week later the one right next to it popped out! I'm pretty sure he'll have one up top any day now.
- Loves to play in his exersaucer, even though he still doesn't really work on using his legs yet and prefers just to let them dangle. But he does love to play with each individual toy and lately favors the two tall ones, and pulls them towards him so he can chew on the tops.

- We've gone swimming a few times now and he's finally starting to like it more and enjoys splashing and kicking. It's too bad that he gets cold so fast, he never lasts more than about 10 min. Which is why we've also moved to the big tub for baths, that way he can kick and kick in the nice warm bathroom - and boy does he get water everywhere!

- We recently discovered that he is ticklish and he seems to love it when we try to tickle his sides - he giggles, even if we don't actually touch him!
- When Hahn started school, Henry started daycare. It was really hard to drop him off that first day, but he's always happy when I go to pick him up. So far I am very pleased with Taryn, she's a sweetheart and she seems to love Henry (and so do her kids!)
- Lately he seems to really like to be around people, I think he likes all of the attention that he gets from the other kids at daycare and expects the same from us. Which, honestly after a day at work, we are often happy to oblige!
- Being at the sitters and with Hahn working at a school, it's not surprising that Henry caught his first cold. He had a sniffly nose for a few days and still a bit of a lingering cough.
- Henry is pretty much sitting up on his own now and we've been trying to take advantage of it, by giving him toys that are better from his new vantage point. Just today he had a fine time playing with his mini piano.
