I Love Bzzing!

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

As many of my friends know, (they hear me talk about it enough) I'm a BzzAgent! And I love it, because reviewing free stuff is the best!

Today I was super psyched to hear that the Daily Bzz was the Star Wars Complete Saga on Blu-ray! Um.. YES PLEASE! And here's why I would be perfect for it.

  • It's my Mom's all time favorite movie and I've seen all of them (especially IV, V and VI) more times then I can count. It was just a part of growing up at my house to break out 'A New Hope' and see Mom's favorite scene with Luke watching the pair of setting suns.
  • My husband is also a big fan and we've already converted my 2 year old! He has a Star Wars ABC book and already knows that 'Y' is for Yoda! And last year he was an Ewok for Halloween!
  • As a reward for his first teaching job, my husband got himself a new 52", flat-screen TV and it is just plain wrong that we don't own these movies on Blu-ray yet!

So here's hoping that Jono and the people at BzzAgent think that me (and my family) are worthy of this Daily Bzz!

Office Halloween

Saturday, October 31, 2009

My office always goes all out for Halloween. Even though we had to post-pone our celebration till the week after due to blizzards, this year was no exception! The theme this year was TV shows and each pod picked something from this category to dress up as and decorate their area.

My pod, the HP Design pod - Batman (the old, campy Adam West version)

Robin, Batgirl, The Riddler, Batman and Catwoman

I made this Batcomputer and was rather proud of how it turned out. :)

The Writer's Pod - Cheers

The AM pod - Grey's Anatomy

The Romper Room - Mad Men

Henry's First Halloween!

Henry's first Halloween was a lot of fun. We had two costumes that were given to us, so Henry got the chance to be both a Lion King and a Snugglesaurus!

On Halloween day, we met up with the Wranosky's and went to a local church that was having a festival. Of course, the boys were too young to really enjoy it, but it was fun to get all dressed up and fun to see the other kids!Jack and Henry: Jungle friends.

Henry showing off our giant pumpkins. I couldn't resist Photoshopping the image below. :)

Pumpkin Carving Party 2009!

Sunday, October 25, 2009

We had our annual pumpkin carving party the week before Halloween- and as always it was a big hit! It is crazy how over the years, it has become a family event, so many of us now have kids. It was fun to see Noah, Jack and Henry all side by side, since us moms had all been pregnant together last Halloween!
Hahn and I decided against growing pumpkins in the garden this year, however a few apparently seeded themselves and this giant one was one of the results! Here's Henry displaying the pumpkin before and after carving.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

Yet again we held the annual Pumpkin Carving Party with record breaking numbers of people attending. I think when it was all done and over at least 41 people came by to carve pumpkins! (A few people just opted to hang- out **cough** SAM!)

This year also seemed to break the record with the number of kiddos attending. Just a sign that we've hit that point in our lives when our friends are all having kids! Plus Sam, Jessica (Micah's wife), Marion and I were the 4 pregnant ladies Due Feb 24, March 1, march 2, and March 4th in that order! So I guess there will be even more kids next year!
Penelope was too cute, I wish I had gotten a picture of her and Isaac, they were best friends within minutes!
Mason seemed to think this whole pumpkin carving business was a little too messy.

As always, Emily seemed to be having a grand time and got along great with Colin (My boss' son) Look closely at his pumpkin, it reminds me of the little kid in Nightmare Before Christmas that gets the severed head from Santa Jack. :)

The unfinished basement proved to be a great "gutting" room. Elisa is showing off the automatic gutting tool!

Hahn was so excited to get started, he was the only one carving for a little while.

And a few of the finished pieces!
